As of the deadline, 31 August 2016, only 40% of Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) receivers, or some 6.8 million students had carried out reregistration in Primary and Secondary Education Basic Data (Dapodikdasmen) of the Ministry of National Education (Kemendikbud). Dikdasmen will extend the time for KIP receivers to register at Dapodikdasmen until 30 September 2016.
This was revealed by Dirjen Disdasmen, Hamid Muhammad, in Jakarta, yesterday (07/09). In addition, he also said that many students have not received KIP due to a delay at village office or sub-district.
In order to accelerate the registration process, Dikdasmen issued circular letter number 19/D/SE/2016 to all department heads, headmasters and Dikdasmen operators across Indonesia. Hamid was optimistic that 10.2 million students receiving KIP can be registered in the Dapodikdasmen database this month.
Meanwhile, Coordinator of Civil Society Coalition for Education Transformation (KMSTP), Febri Hendri said that to date there was no data synergy between the Ministry and related institutions. It often happened that data of KIP receivers were not synchronized with the data in Dapodik and Tim Nasional Percepatan Penanggulangan Kemiskinan (TNP2K), which resulted in the KIP distribution being delayed.
