The British and Indonesian governments agreed to provide funds to the amount of Rp 13 billion for enhancing engineered engineering, research, and innovation. The funds originate from grants of both countries.
Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) M Nasir said The Royal Academy of Engineering of the United Kingdom (The Academy) and the Directorate General of Innovation Strengthening Kemenristek Dikti formed a partnership in supporting and enhancing Indonesia’s capacity in the scope of the teaching of engineered engineering, research, and innovation. Nasir said this accord is to conduct the collaboration under the people-people activity line in Newton Found.
He explained, the two countries agreed to prepare grant funding in a consortium of universities and industry from Indonesia and England/the UK dealing in the field of engineered engineering. The grants will cover salaries, travel costs, and accommodation for exchanges that support Industry-Academia Partnership Program activities. The two parties also provide intensive funding for full training of Indonesia’s techno-preneurs.
