The learning model in education will continue to grow. It is tailored to the needs of the teachers and learners. On Thursday (20/10), the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) has nationally launched the Package C online learning model marked by video conference in ten provinces in Indonesia. In the teleconference event, six community learning centers (PKBM) were ready to become pilot PKBM models in Jakarta which will implement package C online learning in 2016.
Head of Early Childhood, Non-Formal and Informal Education (PAUDNI) of Jakarta (DKI) Education Agency, Sri Rahayu Asih Subekti stated that through online learning children can study anywhere and anytime. Of course, this was in accordance with the agreed arrangement. Sri said that with online learning children can save on transport costs and at the same time help their parents. However, they still must learn face-to-face (with their teachers) three times a week.
She said that in future the learning model will be familiarized to all PKBMs throughout DKI. According to her the familiarizing will be until December. In addition, PKBMs might apply the model in the new school year.
Meanwhile, Laurentia Maria Sihombing, PAUDNI of Central Jakarta disclosed that this is a very good moment for DKI (Jakarta) because the means and facilities are adequately provided and on average students have cellphones so they can access from anywhere. Since science and technology continues to develop, E-learning such as this is suitable and will make children eager to learn.
