Jakarta Dispendik Head of Public Relations, Syahdar Nahdiyat, targets the 38 school buildings renovated to be completed by 30 December. Initially, he added, a total of 83 school buildings will be renovated this year, but 45 of them failed to materialize.
Syahdar explained, the 45 school buildings that failed to be renovated were caused by four things, namely failed auction at the DKI Goods and Services Procurement Service Agency (BPPBJ) and removal of assets was not yet completed. In addition, the existing building had not been demolished by the Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) and the lack of accessibility of heavy equipment to the school location as well as insufficient time to conduct a repeat auction.
Head of DKI/Jakarta Dispendik Adrianto added the rehabilitation of school buildings becomes one of the efforts to realize the Dispendik mission of improving the education quality standard in the capital. Today, he continued, his party enters an era of change towards a new Jakarta, including the delivery of education in the city.
