Research Programs Create Academic Climate in UIN Jakarta

Research programs through a scheme of “visiting professor” and “research fellowship” are expected to create world-class academic climate in the environment of State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada said he was committed to making visiting professor and research fellowships as part of the academic development of UIN Jakarta ahead. Earlier, the commitment was conveyed by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in front of professors and researchers participants of “visiting professor” and “research fellowship”. According to Prof. Dede, researcher-professors from various world universities are expected to transmit the spirit and discipline of academics of world universities to the UIN Jakarta academic community.

He also said UIN Jakarta also sends their lecturers abroad to seek new experiences and implement them once they were back in UIN Jakarta. He also noted, since 2015, UIN Jakarta has implemented international research cooperations. Two of them take advantage of the scheme “visiting professor” and “research fellowship”. Both of these schemes are done by accepting foreign researcher- lecturers to conduct research in UIN Jakarta or otherwise send an UIN Jakarta researcher-lecturer to various world campuses. This year the scheme of “visiting professor” is followed by six professors to research and teach in a number of faculties at UIN Jakarta.
