Guru Didorong Kenalkan Lagu Anak

Guru taman kanak-kanak (TK) dan sekolah dasar (SD) perlu berperan sebagai garda terdepan dalam mengenalkan lagu-lagu anak kepada siswa. Jika tidak dikenalkan sejak dini, lagu-lagu anak terancam dilupakan. Menurut Dian Hadiprabowo, produser musik, guru merupakan sosok yang paling sering berhadapan langsung dengan anak. Dengan intensitas pertemuan yang hampir setiap hari, mereka bisa memahami lagu anak seperti apa yang dibutuhkan siswa.

Dian mengatakan, para guru di tingkat TK dan SD harus berperan sebagai pemasok nutrisi bagi telinga siswa, yakni berupa lagu-lagu anak yang tepat sesuai dengan kebutuhan tingkat usianya. Lagu yang dikenalkan merupakan suatu medium yang mengandung pesan moral bagi pendengarnya.

Dosen Jurusan Seni Musik Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Caecilia Hardiarini mengatakan, peran guru TK dan SD harus ditingkatkan mengingat peredaran lagu-lagu anak semakin sulit ditemukan. Guru yang dimaksud bukan hanya guru seni musik, tetapi guru mata pelajaran apapun. Agar mereka bisa mengenalkan lagu anak-anak dengan baik, para guru harus terlebih dahulu mendalami pengetahuan di bidang musik. Beberapa hal yang bisa dipelajari di antaranya notasi angka, notasi balok, pembuatan lirik, serta tentang melodi.

Teachers Encouraged to Introduce Children’s Songs

Kindergarten (TK) and primary school (SD) teachers need to serve as the front guard in introducing children’s songs to students. If not introduced since early on children’s songs are threatened to be forgotten. According to Dian Hadiprabowo, a music producer, a teacher is the person who most often interacts directly with children. With almost daily meetings with students they can understand what kind of children’s songs the students need.

Dian said that kindergarten and primary school teachers should play a role as supplier of nutrition for students’ ears, which are age-appropriate children’s songs.  The songs introduced are a medium containing moral messages to the listeners.

Lecturer of the Music Arts Department of State University of Jakarta, Caecilia Hardiarini said that the role of kindergarten and primary school teachers should be improved given the circulation of children’s songs is more difficult to find. The teacher in question is not only music arts teachers, but teachers of any subject. In order for them to introduce children’s songs well, the teachers must first deepen their knowledge in the field of music. Among some things that can be learnt is the number notation, musical notes, making lyrics, and also about melody.

Cerita Anak dalam Bahasa Ibu

Ragam bahasa ibu sejak dini dikenalkan melalui buku cerita bagi anak-anak pendidikan usia dini. Cara ini bertujuan menumbuhkan kecintaan pada bahasa daerah dan bahasa Indonesia serta menunjang pengembangan kemampuan berbahasa anak-anak usia dini. Pada Rabu (10/5), di Jakarta, digelar Festival dan Kreativitas Anak Usia Dini 2017 bertema Membangun Keadaban Keaksaraan Sejak Dini”. Dalam kegiatan ini, sebanyak 1.646 anak usia dini mendengarkan cerita kreatif berbahasa daerah oleh 217 guru PAUD penutur asli bahasa Ibu terkait.

Mereka membacakan cerita sarat moral dalam bahasa ibu secara kreatif, diselingi dengan pengenalan hal-hal tradisional, lagu, permainan, dan kegiatan menggambar. Juga 450 anak ikut festival tari daerah. Kegiatan pembacaan cerita dengan bahasa ibu terbanyak oleh guru-guru PAUD itu mendapatkan penghargaan Museum Rekor-Dunia Indonesia (MURI).

Direktur Pembinaan PAUD Kemdikbud Ella Yulaelawati mengatakan, pihaknya menerbitkan 61 buku bahan belajar sambil bermain berbahasa ibu. Buku-buku cerita yang diterbitkan dalam bahasa ibu antara lain dalam bahasa Padang Solok, Batak Toba, Betawi, Sunda, Melayu, dan Jamee (Aceh).

Menurut Ella, pengenalan keaksaraan dengan menerbitkan bahan belajar dan bermain dengan bahasa ibu bertujuan memudahkan komunikasi dan interaksi antara pendidik dan peserta didik. Juga menunjang pengembangan kemampuan berbahasa, sosial, dan kognitif serta menumbuhkan kecintaan terhadap bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa daerahnya.

Children’s Stories in Mother Tongue

The variety of mother tongues is introduced early on through children’s storybooks for children of early childhood education. This method aims to foster a love of the local language and Indonesian and supports the development of language skills of early age children. On Wednesday (10/5), in Jakarta, the “Festival and Creativity of Early Childhood 2017 themed Building Literacy Culture Since Early Age.”   In this activity, as many as 1,646 early age children listened to creative stories in local language by 217 early childhood (PAUD) teacher native speakers of the relevant mother tongue.

They read stories in the mother tongue creatively, inserted with the introduction of traditional matters, songs, games, and drawing activities. Also 450 children participated in a regional dance festival. The most story reading in the mother tongue by the PAUD teachers obtained the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) award.

Director of PAUD Development of Kemdikbud,Ella Yulaelawati said  that her party  published 61 books of learning by playing materials in the mother tongue.  The story books published in the mother tongue include in the languages of Padang Solok, Batak Toba, Betawi, Sundanese, Melayu, and Jamee (Aceh).

According to Ella, the introduction of literacy by publishing learning and playing materials in the mother tongue aims to facilitate communication and interaction among educators and learners. It also supports language, social and cognitive skills development, as well as fosters a love for Indonesian and their local languages.

Kemendikbud Tuntaskan Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Paud pada 2019

Direktorat Jenderal Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan (GTK) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) menargetkan peningkatan kompetensi 186 ribu guru Paud, TK, TPA, Pendidikan Masyarakat selesai pada 2019. Hal itu disampaikan oleh Direktur Pembinaan Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini dan Pendidikan Masyarakat.

Abdoellah menjelaskan, ada sebanyak 531 ribu lebih guru pendidikan nonformal, TPA, TK, Paud dan Pendidikan Masyarakat. Dari jumlah tersebut, sebanyak 312 ribu bukan sarjana. Pemerintah tengah berupaya menuntaskan 312 ribu guru tersebut. Saat ini, GTK telah melatih 125 ribu orang melalui diklat berjenjang, lanjutan dan mahir. Penuntasan peningkatan kompetensi guru merupakan instruksi Ibu Negara Iriana Joko Widodo pada Kemendikbud.

Abdoellah menjelaskan, untuk mempercepat peningkatan kompetensi guru, Kemendikbud menggandeng dinas pendidikan kabupaten/kota untuk menurunkan tim membina para guru.

Pada 2017, ia menjelaskan, Kemendikbud akan melatih 10 ribu guru di seluruh Indonesia. Pun Kementerian Desa bekerja sama dengan Bank Dunia berkomitmen memberi pelatihan pada 7.500an guru. Ia berharap, masing-masing dinas kabupaten/kota dapat melatih, setidaknya, 2.500 guru. Ia menambahkan, pemerintah juga akan memberdayakan Pusat Kerja Gugus (PKG) untuk memberikan pelatihan di daerah. Ia menyebut, saat ini hanya 71 persen pemerintah daerah yang mengalokasikan APBDnya untuk pemberdayaan guru pendidikan nonformal.

Kemendikbud to Complete Competency Upgrade for PAUD Teachers by 2019

The Directorate General of Teacher and Educational Personnel of The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) is targeting the completion of competency upgrading of 186,000 PAUD, TK, TPA and Public Education teachers by 2019. This was stated by the Development Director of Teacher and Educational Personnel of Early Childhood Education and Public Education.

Abdoellah explained that there are more than 531,000 teachers of non-formal education, TPA, TK, Paud, and Public Education. Of these, 312,000 teachers are not scholars. Therefore, the government is trying to upgrade these teachers. So far, GTK has trained 125,000 teachers by gradual training, advanced and proficient level. The completion of teachers competency upgrading was the initiative of First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo to Kemendikbud.

Abdoellah explained that Kemendikbud collaborated with regency/city education offices to release teams who foster teachers. This will accelerate the competency upgrading of teachers.

He explained that Kemendikbud will train 10,000 teachers all over Indonesia in 2017. The Ministry of Villages cooperates with The World Bank in providing training to around 7,500 teachers. He hoped that each regency/city office is able to train, at least, 2,500 teachers. In addition, the government will empower Work Center Group (PKG) to provide training in the regions. He also said that currently only 71 percent of local governments allocate their APBD to teachers’ empowerment of non-formal education.

Ribuan Guru PAUD Dapat Bekal

Direktorat Jenderal Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan (GTK) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) bersama Organisasi Aksi Solidaritas Era Kabinet Kerja (OASE) membuka Pelatihan Akbar untuk 1.500-2.000 guru PAUD, TK dan Pendidikan Masyarakat di daerah itu. Pelatihan akbar diselenggarakan di Kampus Darussalam, Universitas Islam Riau selama tiga hari, mulai 29-31 Maret 2017. Pelatihan itu mengambil tema ‘Praktik Pendidikan Karakter dan Pendekatan Saintifik yang Sukses Membangun Akhlak, Daya Pikir Kritis dan Kreativitas Anak’.

Dirjen GTK Kemendikbud, Sumarna Surapranata di Pekanbaru, Riau, Rabu (29/3), menjelaskan, dalam tiga hari, guru PAUD, TK dan Pendidikan Masyarakat akan mendapat pelatihan bagaimana menguatkan pendidikan karakter pada anak. Ia menyebut, sekira 1.700 guru akan praktik bagaimana pendidikan karakter yang sesuai dengan abad 21. Pengajaran pendidikan karakter yang tidak melalui kekerasan.

Pranata mengungkapkan, setidaknya ada 5.300an guru PAUD, TK dan Pendidikan Masyarakat di seluruh Indonesia. Namun, yang menjadi tantangan para guru itu berasal dari jenjang sekolah menengah atas. Oleh sebab itu, untuk meningkatkan kualifikasi guru Paud, pemerintah akan memberikan beasiswa dan melakukan pelatihan kompetensi.

Sementara itu, Ketua bidang Pendidikan Karakter OASE, Ratna Megawarni menyebut pendidikan karakter bagi anak merupakan program gotong-royong. Hal ini ditujukan agar kontribusi para guru PAUD, TK dan Pendidikan Masyarakat dapat dengan cepat tercapai.

Thousands of PAUD Teachers Obtain Provisions

Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel (GTK) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) with the Organization of Working Cabinet Era Solidarity (OASE) open Akbar/Major Training for 1,500-2,000 teachers of early childhood education (PAUD), kindergarten (TK) and Community Education in the region. The training is held at the Darussalam Campus, Riau Islamic University for three days, from 29 to 31 March 2017. The training takes the theme ‘Successful Practices of Character Education and Scientific Approach to Build Morals, Critical Thinking Power and Creativity of Children’.

Director General GTK Kemendikbud, Sumarna Surapranata explained in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Wednesday (29/3), in three days, early childhood, kindergarten and Community Education teachers will be trained on how to strengthen children’s character education. He said, approximately 1,700 teachers will practice how character education is in accordance with 21st century. Character education teaching not through violence.

Pranata revealed that there are at least 5,300s early childhood, kindergarten and Community Education teachers throughout Indonesia. However, the challenge is that the teachers come from upper secondary school level. Therefore, to improve early childhood (PAUD) teacher qualifications, the government will provide scholarships and conduct competency training.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of the OASE Character Education field, Ratna Megawarni mentioned character education for children is a mutual assistance program. It is intended so that the contribution of early childhood teachers, kindergarten and Community Education could be quickly achieved.

6 Juta Anak Belum Tersentuh PAUD

Jutaan anak di Indonesia ternyata belum tersentuh pendidikan usia dini. Saat ini Kemendikbud melakukan pemetaan mengenai pendidikan bagi anak usia 3-6 tahun di Indonesia. Hasil sementara menyebutkan dari 19 juta anak usia dini, masih ada sekitar 6 juta anak yang belum tersentuh pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD).

Dirjen PAUD dan Pendidikan Masyarakat (Dikmas) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) Harris Iskandar di Kantor Kemendikbud kemarin (8/3), mengatakan, APK (angka partisipasi kasar) PAUD saat ini baru 72 %, dan sebanyak 28%-nya belum terlayani PAUD di daerah-daerah pelosok. Penyebabnya beragam mulai dari kendala geografis, kondisi sosial-budaya hingga persoalan ekonomi orang tua.

Haris menjelaskan, di masa mendatang Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) mewacanakan wajib belajar (wajar) bagi anak usia dini. Namun untuk menuju ke sana Kemendikbud perlu melakukan pemetaan terlebih dulu. Menurut Harris, baru dua tahun ini pihaknya melakukan pemetaan lengkap mulai dari nama per anak hingga lembaga PAUD tempat mereka belajar yang akan direkam di data pokok pendidikan (dapodik).

Harris menuturkan, Ditjen PAUD sudah memberikan bantuan operasional pendidikan (BOP) PAUD yang dari tahun ke tahun nilainya ditingkatkan.  Tahun lalu, menurut dia, bantuan diturunkan senilai Rp2,35 triliun, lalu tahun ini Rp3,5 triliun, dan tahun depan naik menjadi Rp4 triliun.

Dia menuturkan, dalam Indeks Membangun Desa ada skema pendanaan untuk membangun PAUD. Dia yakin dana desa bisa membantu 6 juta anak yang belum terlayani PAUD tersebut. Dia mengaku sudah melakukan pembicaraan secara informal dengan Kementerian Desa Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal dan Transmigrasi (Kemendes) agar di setiap desa ada PAUD.

Six Million Children Still Have No Access to PAUD

To date millions of children in Indonesia still lack access to early childhood education (PAUD). Currently, the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) is conducting an education mapping of children aged 3-6 years. The preliminary result of the mapping stated that 6 million of 19 million children still have no access to PAUD.

The Director General of Early Childhood Education and Community Education (PAUD and Dikmas) of Kemendikbud Harris Iskandar said yesterday (8/3) in Kemendikbud office that the gross enrollment ratio (APK) for PAUD is only 72 percent. Thus, there are 28 percent of children in remote areas that have no access to PAUD due to geographical, socio-cultural and economic constraints.

Haris explained that Kemdikbud will propose compulsory education (Wajar) for early childhood in the future. However, Kemendikbud still has to conduct the mapping. He said that his party will have conducted a complete mapping within two years to record children’s data in the education primary data (Dapodik).

Harris said that his party has provided educational operational assistance (BOP) to PAUD with an increased budget each year. Last year, the BOP was Rp 2.35 trillion rising to Rp 3.5 triliion this year and Rp 4 trillion next year.

He added, there is a funding scheme for PAUD in the Village Building Index. He believed that the fund will help 6 million children gain access to PAUD. He also said he had held informal talks with the Ministry for Rural Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (Mendes) so that every village could build a PAUD facility.
