The Minister of Education and Culture, Mohamad Nuh, is preparing sanctions to be imposed on the parties responsible for the mess of the National Exam 2013 administration for senior high schools. The Ministry is still finishing this investigation.

The sanctions to be imposed will depend on the ranks or positions of the officials concerned. The reason is that, said Nuh, not all officials were appointed by the Minister.

He said that in general, the mess of the national exam was caused by the careless supervision of the exam committee and executor. He also mentioned three main points of the investigation, i.e. procurement of goods and services, execution, and printing.

The Inspector General of the Education Ministry, Haryono Umar, said that the parties with mistakes in the disorganized national exam were not only from their institution. Other parties beyond the Ministry involved in the national exam were the National Education Standard Board as the executor and PT Ghalia Indonesia Printing as the printing company, which was also in charge of the exam paper distribution that had been delayed in 11 provinces.
