A senior high school teacher who refuses to be named revealed that the National-Based School Test (USBN) questions have reputably been leaked and circulated through Google Drive and WhatsApp. The questions themselves were written by Subject Teacher Discussion (MGMP) for Civic Education (PKn), and Islamic Education (PAI)
She said that this link has been shared in the teacher’s group by one of the teachers at school. Yet, there was no response from the person-in-charge. Both type A and type B questions had been linked, matching the originals. In this way, students who received the leaked questions will be able to quickly answer the test questions.
In response to this, the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud), Muhadjir Effendy, will review the matter before deciding on a fit sanction for the person who leaked these questions. The review is necessary because USBN is being held for the first time. Mendikbud assigned the Inspectorate General of Kemendikbud and the local education agency to investigate this case of questions being leaked.
Meanwhile, the General Inspector of Kemendikbud, Darayanto, said that his authority was to track and investigate the report in full. He was greatly concerned about this case because USBN is only the test in terms of its small scope, not the national exam that is the test in terms of the larger scope. Moreover, the writer of USBN questions is a teacher, but so too must be the person who leaked the questions.
Therefore, Daryanto underlined that whoever was proven to have leaked the questions, whether a teacher or a headmaster, they would be dismissed. He is also investigating the motive behind this case, as it disfigures the whole education field.
